Vaccination not required to enter Turkey this summer

Turkey has announced that vaccination certificates will not be required for international travellers entering the country

Turkish authorities have announced that travellers arriving in Turkey this summer will only need to present a negative PCR test result to enter the country.

There have been major efforts in recent months to boost confidence in the Turkish tourism sector. A priority vaccination programme is already underway for employees at hotels and other tourist facilities for the forthcoming tourism season and 20,775,790 vaccination doses have been administered.

In addition, tourists visiting Turkey will be offered Covid-19 Accommodation Support Insurance and a special medical insurance package starting at €15 ($18), which covers Covid-19 related expenses such as treatment, medication and emergency care costs that may be incurred if visitors are taken to hospital during their stay in Turkey.
