Wego ranked number one travel app for flight bookings in MENA

Results show massive year-on-year growth for travel tech brand 

Wego has emerged as the top travel app for flight searches and bookings in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region with year-over-year growth of over 157.7% and 143,002 downloads in February 2023, according to figures from data.ai.

Gathered by analysing the download rates of 1,062 travel apps that offer flight and hotel search capabilities, the data shows huge growth for the brand set up in 2005 and headquartered in Dubai and Singapore with regional operations in Bangalore, Jakarta and Cairo.

Wego has become the most downloaded travel app for flight-focused brands in the MENA region. With holidays such as Eid Fitr approaching soon, the app’s popularity is expected to rise steadily.
