MENA-based Wego shares travel preferences in Saudi, Kuwait and Egypt markets

Wego has revealed the trending international and domestic destinations for travellers from a cross-section of Middle East countries in 2023. 

Analysing data from Saudi, Kuwait and Egypt, Wego has found that the most popular outbound destination for Middle East leisure and business travellers include Cairo, Istanbul, Dubai and Jeddah.

Saudi Arabia
For travellers from Saudi, Wego data showed that Cairo, Istanbul, Dubai, Jakarta and Lahore take the lead as the most popular international destinations in 2023 so far. In domestic travel, Saudis are discovering the beauty of their own country in Jeddah, followed by Riyadh, Dammam, Abha and Medina.

Kuwait
Topping the list of international destinations for Kuwait travellers is Cairo, immediately followed by Istanbul, Amman, Chennai and Jeddah. The trending cities feature a blend of modern and historical charms that appeal to Kuwaitis.

Egypt
Egypt's top flight destinations for international travel in 2023 include Kuwait, Jeddah, Dubai, Doha and Muscat. In domestic travel, Cairo takes the lead as the most popular choice even for residents. Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Aswan and Luxor follow as leading destinations for Egyptian tourists.
