Zuma to debut new lifestyle concept in Mykonos, Greece

More international locations with pop-ups in Ibiza and Sardinia will follow as Zuma enters a new era

Marking its 20th anniversary this year, Zuma has announced that it will launch a new lifestyle destination in Mykonos, Greece in July 2022.

Mykonos will be the first location for Zuma’s new concept, which is set to be a blueprint for the next 20 years of Zuma, in addition to the original restaurant concept that was first created and founded in London in 2002 by Rainer Becker.

The new property will comprise a restaurant, a lounge and bar, an infinity pool, day beds and a resident DJ, taking guests from day to night 

During the daytime, the restaurant will serve Zuma’s full menu, featuring signature dishes including thinly sliced sea bass with yuzu, truffle, salmon roe, roasted lobster with green chilli and garlic shiso butter, and spicy beef tenderloin with sesame, red chilli and sweet soy. The lounge will serve a menu of small plates, with Japanese adaptations of classic pool-side dishes. Access to the pool will be available during the day with a booking in the lounge or sun bed area.

Set between white-washed villas climbing the cliffside and the Aegean Sea, Zuma Mykonos has been designed to reflect its surroundings with Greek granite worktops in the kitchens, and a perimeter wall made in the traditional Mykonos stacking stone design. 

The venue will seat 200 guests in the restaurant and an additional 100 in the sun bed area.

Zuma will also launch pop-up restaurants in Ibiza and Sardinia this summer, taking the total number of Zuma international outposts to 20

Speaking about the new venture, Zuma founder Rainer Becker said: “ Our focus is now on the next 20 years and the evolution of Zuma. We will continue opening Zuma restaurants in cosmopolitan cities as we have done, but we look forward to developing this new lifestyle concept in luxury destinations that allows us to offer our guests new, multi-purpose locations to explore.

“Mykonos is the perfect place to launch the next phase of Zuma, having had two successful seasons on the Island, we cannot wait to showcase our new property this year.”
