First Look: The Chedi Hegra, Saudi Arabia

Opened in December 2024 in AlUla's Unesco World Heritage Site, The Chedi Hegra is set against the backdrop of ancient Nabataean rock formations, and built around an old railway station and fort. The hotel is home to three restaurants, an outdoor pool and 35 bespoke guesthouses complete with desert views, plunge pools and around-the-clock butler service. Cultural experiences and wellness take centre stage, with art installations, desert experiences and a spa housed in a mud-brick villa offering treatments using local ingredients. Guests can also dine under the stars, or enjoy high tea while listening to tales from the in-house storyteller.
