Next Edge-class ship to feature date-night dance parties and brunch venue
Celebrity Cruises is introducing a new brunch venue and entertainment options to upcoming Edge-class ship Celebrity Xcel, due to undertake its inaugural cruise in November 2025.
As the cruise line looks to “redefine romance at sea” with its new concept ‘Date Night, All Day Long’, the new experiences will provide couples with dawn-to-dusk date options, from al fresco brunching to late-night themed parties.
Adding to the 31 food and drink choices onboard the 3,260-passenger Celebrity Xcel, new alfresco venue Bora will be the first in Celebrity’s fleet to offer a brunch menu. Located on the ship's rooftop deck, Bora will deliver a Mediterranean-inspired brunch with dishes including shakshuka and croissant eggs Benedict alongside a Bloody Mary bar, where guests can customise their own creations. Live musicians will provide entertainment.
Bora will then transform by night, offering couples an intimate chef-led tableside experience with seafood-focused dishes such as razor clams, carabinero prawns and seared branzino served alongside Greek and Italian love song performances.

Beyond Bora, couples will be able to enjoy an array of newly devised after-dinner date options, including three new plays in the main theatre, two interactive shows in The Club, a candlelight concert experience and multiple immersive new dance parties, with themes ranging from ‘country night’ to ‘the 80s’, and destination-inspired festivals.
The shows will be delivered by Celebrity’s largest-ever theatre cast with more than 75 resident singers, dancers, parkour artists and specialty performers.
New after-dinner entertainment
For those who’d like a say in what romantic experiences could next be introduced, guests can join Xcel Dream Makers, and be part of a community testing, trying and voting on new experiences, from dining to dance party themes and headliner acts.
Lisa Lehr, Vice President of Entertainment at Celebrity Cruises, said: "The choice is endless for guests to find their perfect match each and every night.”
Celebrity Xcel is also the first ship in the fleet to feature the Bazaar, designed to bring the destinations visited onto the ship through entertainment, enrichment and retail offerings.
The 3,260-guest vessel will offer a short preview cruise ahead of its maiden voyage on 18 November 2025, sailing from Port Everglades for a new four-night cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, on 9 November 2025.
After its inaugural cruise, it will offer seven-night Caribbean itineraries between the Bahamas, Mexico, Puerto Plata, Cayman Islands, St Thomas and St Maarten, and in summer 2026, it will set sail in Europe on seven-to 11-night Mediterranean sailings.
