Costa Cruises to broadcast Qatar World Cup matches

The season's first week-long winter cruises to the UAE and Oman will be among the ships showing games in real time

Costa Cruises has confirmed that its ships will broadcast FIFA World Cup Qatar matches from November 20 to December 18, on Sport 24, its in-ship live sports channel.

Passengers sailing to destinations such as the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the UAE and South America will all be able to watch the games, thanks to satellite broadcasting.

The matches will be available free of charge, both on screens in the ship’s public areas and on cabin televisions.

The line’s flagship vessel, Costa Toscana, will broadcast the first matches from the Western Mediterranean until late November. 

The final matches of the World Cup will be available during the first of the week-long winter cruises to the UAE and Oman, which include long calls in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Muscat where fan zones have been created.

The Costa Smeralda will visit Italy, France and Spain weekly during the entire World Cup period, while the Costa Deliziosa will offer one-week cruises to Greece, Croatia and Montenegro, departing from Bari and Trieste.

In addition to watching the World Cup matches, passengers will be able to enjoy football-themed entertainment and activities aboard the Costa ships during the tournament.
