Crystal launches Chairmen’s Cruise

A&K Travel Group executive chairman and Abercrombie & Kent chairman to attend cruise from Jeddah

Luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises has announced the launch of its debut Crystal Chairmen's Cruise, sailing from 2 to 8 April 2024, on the Crystal Symphony from Jeddah in Saudi Arabia to the Greek island of Rhodes.

Following the 2022 acquisition of the Crystal brand by the A&K Travel Group (owners of the luxury travel company Aberkrombie & Kent), passengers will embark on an immersive journey alongside A&K Travel Group executive chairman Manfredi Lefebvre and Abercrombie & Kent founder and chairman Emeritus Geoffrey Kent.

Through a series of special lectures, interactive discussions and exclusive meet-and-greets, there will be opportunities for passengers to engage with the duo, who are known as 'travel industry titans'.

Additionally, the pair will join a limited-availability pre-cruise trip to AlUla, Saudi Arabia’s desert oasis. This five-day optional overland experience is curated and hosted by Abercrombie & Kent’s insider guides and will take in the iconic Elephant Rock and Hegra, Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO World Heritage site. An exclusive dinner on the final night will be hosted by both chairmen.

On board, the programme will include a special lecture from Kent, who will share stories of his tenure in the travel industry, spanning more than 60 years. Additionally, Crystal will welcome Peter Maeck, author of Aperture and Zänker; Justice Dennis Curran, who is known for his extensive political speaking career; celebrated artist, Martin Kaye and Sabrina Aloueche, an English musical theatre actress.

Entertainment will include award-winning productions, such as Icons In Concert, Crystal on Broadway and the Elton John Tribute show Rocket Man. Guests will also be able to sign up for enrichment and technology classes, golf instruction led by a PGA professional and ballroom dance lessons.
