Doha Port sees record tourist season

The passenger terminal can accommodate 12,000 passengers per day

Qatar’s port authority Mwani Qatar has reported that Doha Port achieved a record tourist season in 2022-2023, with the arrival of 273,666 visitors on 55 cruise ships.

The visitor numbers recorded last season marked a 166% increase on the previous year, while the number of ships leapt 62% compared to the 2021-2022 season.

The 2022-2023 season saw the boarding of 19,400 tourists on trips starting from Doha, highlighting the port's role in promoting cruise tourism in line with Qatar’s Vision 2030 goals.

Qatar's cruise sector continues to contribute to the growth of the country’s economy by increasing tourist traffic and spending as well as providing more business and employment opportunities.
