Utopia of the Seas is scheduled to make its debut in 2024
Royal Caribbean has announced that it has a new ship in the works that’s set to be the largest in the world when it sails in 2024.
Utopia of the Seas will take the title from fellow Royal Caribbean vessel Wonder of the Seas, which had its maiden voyage from Florida to the Caribbean on 4 March 2022.
The line’s latest cruise ship was revealed at a steel cutting ceremony in France where construction officially started this week.

Powered by sustainable natural gas (LNG) propulsion, Utopia of the Seas will house 3,000 cabins and have a capacity of close to 10,000 passengers. That’s 3,000 more than Wonder of the Seas.
Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class vessels offer a wide range of accommodation options with everything from windowless interior cabins to multi-room, double-deck luxury suites that come with private balconies.
The new Utopia of the Seas will have a split structure, with multi-deck central areas featuring tropical gardens, shops, restaurants and other attractions, including bumper car pavilions and one of the largest water parks at sea.
Details on where the ship will sail and for how long are yet to be released by the line.
