Atlantis The Royal, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab and The Lana secure the Middle East’s only spots on the list
Three Dubai properties have been recognised in The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025, led by Atlantis The Royal in sixth place, followed by Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab at number 20 and The Lana at number 35.
They were the only Middle East hotels to feature in this year’s 50 Best, joined regionally by Oman’s Six Senses Zighy Bay, ranked 84th in the newly launched extended 51-100 list.
Topping the overall ranking this year was Rosewood Hong Kong, named the World’s Best Hotel 2025 at a ceremony held at the historic Old Billingsgate in London, celebrating outstanding properties across 22 destinations on six continents.
Marking its second anniversary earlier this year, Atlantis The Royal climbed three places from 2024 to secure the sixth spot, further elevating its status as an experiential ultra-luxury destination.
This year, the property also earned two additional regional honours: Best Beach Hotel 2025 and Best Hotel in the Middle East 2025.
Housing 795 rooms and suites, 16 restaurants, 17 boutiques, a wellness sanctuary and 90 swimming pools – including the sky-high Cloud 22 – 50 Best describes the hotel as “the place to stay if you want an all-out bling Dubai experience".
This is the third consecutive year Atlantis The Royal has appeared on the list, rising from number 44 in the inaugural 2024 edition to number nine last year, when it also received the Highest Climber Award.

Paul Baker, President of Atlantis, credited the achievement to his team, saying it reflects the “dedication and passion of our colleagues, whose commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences has been at the heart of our success since day one".
The recognition follows a string of milestones for the property, including being the only GCC hotel to receive Michelin’s top Three Key distinction and the brand’s first global Architecture and Design Award for its “stacked geometry redefining Dubai’s skyline".
Adding to Dubai’s accolades, the futuristic, yacht-inspired Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab made its debut on 2025’s 50 Best Hotels list at number 20, having opened in March 2025.
Designed by Shaun Killa, the property “feels less like a resort and more like stepping aboard an exclusive vessel anchored off Jumeirah’s coast", noted 50 Best.
Rounding out the Dubai winners, The Lana at Business Bay entered the ranking at number 35.
The 225-key Dorchester Collection property impressed judges for presenting “a quieter version of the flashy-luxe stereotype the city has become synonymous with".
