Abu Dhabi Airports launches 'Check Your Terminal' campaign

Campaign aims to direct passengers to correct drop-off point after Terminal A opens on 1 November

With Etihad’s ceremonial flight due to take place on 31 October, Abu Dhabi Airports has announced that all major services and facilities are now ready to receive the new terminal’s first passengers.

In preparation, the airport operator has launched a print, digital and broadcast awareness campaign to ensure passengers and visitors to the airport know which terminal they need to go to.

During the transition period in the first two weeks of operation, all terminals (Terminals A, 1, 2 and 3) at Abu Dhabi International Airport will operate simultaneously. Then, from 15 November all airlines will operate exclusively from Terminal A.

Passengers flying from Abu Dhabi International Airport between 1 and 14 November are advised to check their terminal details on their tickets and also on the airport website in advance in case of any updates.

Another aspect of the awareness campaign is informing passengers about the exact location of the new terminal. Highway signage is also clearly posted on the E10 and E11 for those reaching Terminal A by car.

Abu Dhabi Airports have also installed inter-terminal shuttle buses to chauffeur passengers between terminals when required.

Abu Dhabi Airports chief operating officer Frank McCrorie said: “We look forward to welcoming passengers to the state-of-the-art Terminal A when it opens on 1 November. The new terminal will bring a major increase in capacity and access to world-class facilities for both passengers and airlines.”
