The hospitality companies plan to launch 18 properties together by 2030
Marking a significant milestone in the partnership with Saudi Arabia's Amsa Hospitality and French multinational hospitality company Accor, the entities have signed Mercure Khamis Mushayt in the mountainous region of Aseer in Saudi Arabia.
The latest signing is part of a master development agreement to introduce international hotel brands from Accor's portfolio to second-tier tourism destination within Saudi Arabia in line with the country's Vision 2030.
The fourth most visited province in the country, Aseer is aiming to triple its number of visitors through tourism developments and government-backed support.
Set to open in 2024, the hotel is located on King Abdullah Road in Khamis Mushayt and features 93 rooms and suites. The hotel will house an all-day dining restaurant, a café and a meeting space.
Accor's 2024 Saudi Pipeline includes five hotels with a total of 1005 keys and reaffirms the group’s dedication to developing its economy and midscale brands.
