Souffian Zaeraoui, Anoop Dhondoo and Nishan Silva have been promoted across the group’s UAE hotels

Souffian Zaeraoui, Anoop Dhondoo and Nishan Silva will be collectively overseeing a portfolio of more than 40 Accor-managed properties across the UAE.

With more than 15 years of experience at the Accor Group, Zaeraoui steps up to his new role as regional general manager for Dubai South and Abu Dhabi. Hailing from France, he holds an MBA in International Hospitality Management from ESSEC Business School. Under his leadership, these properties reached significant milestones in guest satisfaction, brand awareness, financial performance and innovative sustainability projects.

Zaeraoui said: "My journey with Accor has been nothing short of extraordinary. The trust vested in me is deeply appreciated, and I eagerly anticipate the exhilarating path that lies ahead. I take immense pride in supporting the exceptionally talented Accor teams in the UAE, and I have unwavering confidence that we will propel our properties to unprecedented heights."

Nishan Silva has been promoted to the role of regional general manager for Dubai and Emirates North. Holding an MBA from the University of Leicester, UK, Nishan has also earned a Doctorate in Business Administration and has a proven track record, having overseen an extensive portfolio of seven Accor properties in Dubai.

Anoop Dhondoo has been appointed as the regional general manager for Dubai Central. He holds an MBA from Ecole Hôtelière De Lausanne, Switzerland, and has earned accolades such as the Gold Award for Hotel of the Year Ibis One Central.

Speaking about his new role, he said: “The opportunity to be part of the first intake of the Accor’s Global Leadership Programme elevated my capabilities and reframed me as a leader. A big thank you to my mentors and everyone who believed in me. I'm incredibly excited to provide strategic leadership and guidance to the hotels."

Through their expanded roles, all three regional general managers will oversee aspects of Accor's Premium, Midscale and Economy Division hotel operations, driving financial, operational and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) objectives, reporting to Jonathan Sheared, senior vice president of Operations, Premium, Midscale and Economy Division, Middle East, Africa & Turkey.
