Christian Le Squer will collaborate on exclusive dining experience on 20 February

Banyan Tree Dubai's popular Japanese restaurant TakaHisa will host an exclusive collaborative dinner with acclaimed chef Christian Le Squer from three-Michelin-starred Le Cinq at Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris.

Taking place on 20 February 2024, priced at AED3,000 per person, the dinner is part of the Dubai World Cuisine series of four- and six-hands dinners featuring chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants around the world. The events are linked to Dubai's Gulfood Top Table masterclasses, running from 19 to 23 February.

Featuring three seatings at 1pm, 6pm and 9pm, the curated nine-course menu will blend the art of preparing beef and sushi with French cooking techniques, complemented by a selection of premium sakes and wines paired to elevate the culinary journey.

Commenting on the collaboration, Sushi master Takashi 'Taka' Namekata said: "Both [partner] chef Hisa and I feel honoured to be approached by Dubai World Cuisine for this special collaboration with Christian Le Squer.

"We’ve all worked together to create an unforgettable menu that marries the essence of Japanese cuisine with French techniques. This collaboration represents a harmonious fusion of two internationally loved flavours and a celebration of innovation."

Beef master Hisao 'Hisa' Ueda added: "Curating this menu was an opportunity to highlight Japanese culinary artistry with a touch of French flair, which has never been done before in Dubai’s gastronomic scene."

Chef Christian Le Squer's career spans more than two decades and three Michelin stars, with his restaurant earning its first star in 1996 and its third in 2012, which is retains today.
