Casa Cook opens third hotel in Greece

Casa Cook Mykonos comprises 26 luxury suites and villas

Casa Cook, a globally renowned collection of lifestyle hotels, has unveiled its latest location on the Greek island of Mykonos.

Welcoming its first guests at the end of June, Casa Cook Mykonos, the newest hotel to join the Casa Cook collection of boutique hotels, is perched just off the shores of Ornos Bay. With panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, this 26-room adult-only retreat is Casa Cook's most intimate hotel to date.

The property's pool area

Only a stone's throw from Mykonos Town, the airport and the most popular beaches, the hotel's design is drawn directly from the traditional cuboid houses dotted across the island, with the architecture mimicking villages where buildings have grown organically together and evolved to surround the town hall.

The property’s colours and materials reflect the calming colour palette of the island featuring bleached whites, blues, earthy browns and lush greens. Interior details capture the island's free spirit, with handwoven fabrics, linens and other elements authentic to the Cyclades islands with a modern touch.

The hotel has appointed Andreas Ntougias as head chef, the Greek chef enjoys international acclaim including experience at Michelin-starred restaurants such as Pastorale Restaurant in Antwerp and awards including Best Chef in 2019. Andreas will be responsible for the creation of all the hotel's menus, where guests can expect traditional Greek classics reinvented with his trademark contemporary flair.

Inspired by paréa – a Greek word roughly translated as a wholesome get-together with friends – the hotel’s pool and dining space are where groups gather for a meal or an afternoon round of poolside cocktails. Oversized pergolas built by local craftsmen offer ample shade to recline and soak in the day outside with friends and like-minded travellers, and a sculpture by French artist Bruno Catalano adds an ethereal touch to the space.

On-site facilities include a large swimming pool, a gym, a yoga shala with private and group classes, and a wellness centre complete with two double suites providing a wide variety of treatments from facials featuring all-natural Cinq Mondes products to massages, peels and scrubs inspired by ancient Greek rituals.

Casa Cook Mykonos is the brand’s fifth hotel, joining two other properties in Greece and two in Egypt.
