Manchester becomes only city in the UK outside of London with a direct air link to the Egyptian capital

Egypt Air has announced a new direct Manchester-Cairo service, starting from Saturday 15 July 2023.

Flights will operate five times weekly, every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, departing at 14:30 from Manchester. 

Egypt Air will operate the service on its B737-800NG aircraft, which accommodates 154 passengers.

Egypt Air chairman and CEO Mohamed Moussa said: “Manchester is one of the largest airports in the UK and is increasingly one of the most in-demand destinations for our customers. 

"Being a hub to Africa, the Middle East and the Far East, Cairo International Airport offers various connections to passengers from Manchester to explore the world, with Egypt Air serving more than 70 destinations worldwide.”
