Passengers flying on Etihad Airways can now travel with their cats or dogs
Pets can now accompany their owners on flights from and via the UAE for an additional cost, subject to the owners being able to present veterinary and official documentation for the animals at the time of check-in.
In economy, owners are required to pay US$150 (AED550) per pet, per flight, to travel six hours or less, and $250 (AED920) for flights with a duration of more than six hours. If transiting, the combined price per flight will apply.

Bookings have to be submitted at least 72 hours before travel via an online booking form, declaring details such as the pet’s microchip number, a certified health certificate and a fit-to-travel certificate.
One adult can bring one pet per flight. The total combined weight of the pet and travel bag or kennel must not exceed 8 kilograms and it’s the responsibility of the passenger to check all entry and exit regulations for the country they are flying to and from.
