Etihad Airways suspends flights to Saudi Arabia

The decision is in line with a directive from the Saudi government on travel between the UAE and the kingdom

Etihad Airways has suspended flights between Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia until 10 August 2021, following the kingdom’s latest directive to suspend travel to the UAE.

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier issued this statement: “In line with the latest directive issued by the government of Saudi Arabia, passenger travel between the UAE and Saudi Arabia has been suspended until further notice. As a result of these changes, Etihad has cancelled flights between Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia until 10 August 2021.”

The airline is working closely with impacted guests to notify them of the changes to their itineraries and added that, due to the evolving situation, the suspension might be extended in line with government mandates.
