Etihad to double Abu Dhabi-Karachi service

Etihad to double Abu Dhabi-Karachi service

UAE national carrier to offer 28 flights a week from October

Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national airline, will expand its service between Abu Dhabi and Karachi, doubling non-stop daily flights to the Pakistan city.

From 1 October, there will be four daily direct flights, providing a total of 28 weekly non-stop services to Pakistan’s economic hub.

This move is part of Etihad’s wider strategy to ramp up connectivity to Pakistan amid increasing demand, and will bring the airline’s total number of weekly flights to the country to 60, with new flights launching to Peshawar in September.

The new Abu Dhabi-Karachi route will connect Zayed International Airport, Abu Dhabi (AUH) with Jinnah International Airport (KHI), Pakistan’s busiest airport.

The first service will depart AUH at 7:50, arriving at KHI at 11:05, with the return flight departing KHI at 12:00 and landing at AUH at 13:05. The second service will leave AUH at 14:40, arriving in KHI at 17:55, with the return flight departing KHI at 21:35, landing in AUH at 22:40.

The third service will leave AUH at 23:40, arriving at KHI at 03:00, with the return service departing KHI at 05:15 and landing at AUH at 06:30. Finally, the fourth service will depart AUH at 02:25, landing at KHI at 05:40. The return will leave KHI at 06:35 and land in AUH at 07:50.

The extra frequency means better departure and arrival times and smoother connections across the airline’s global network.

This expansion follows Etihad's recent introduction of flights to Peshawar, set to begin on 29 September 2025, marking the airline’s 16th new destination in 2025.

By the end of September, the airline will fly nonstop to four destinations in Pakistan, including Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar.
