Hurtigruten, Intrepid and TTC chiefs to speak at Travel Weekly Sustainability Forum

Hosted by Google, the event will also feature an interview with TV presenter Simon Reeve on sustainable travel

Connecting Travel's sister publication, Travel Weekly, is to hold its second annual Sustainability Summit in central London, UK on 24 November 2022.

The event will be hosted by Google and confirmed speakers include Hurtigruten chief executive Daniel Skjeldam; Intrepid Travel chief executive James Thornton; Travel Corporation Tour Brands chief executive Gavin Tollman; easyJet sustainability director Jane Ashton; Heathrow sustainability director Matthew Gorman; Spanish Tourist Office UK director Manuel Butler; Hotelplan UK group head of sustainability Prue Stone, and Google’s industry leader travel, Finnbar Cornwall.

Explorer, television presenter and Kuoni ambassador Simon Reeve will also appear in a video interview about his programming and views on a sustainable future for travel.

The summit will feature a range of sessions on how the industry must adapt to ensure a sustainable future for its businesses and the destinations and communities it serves, and is supported by destination partner Spain, premium sponsors Hurtigruten, NCL, Path Net Zero, Port of Dover and Tootbus, and sponsors Gibraltar Tourist Board, Iberostar, Kuoni and Vueling.
