IHG expands Saudi portfolio with InterContinental Al Khobar Dana Bay

The hotel will feature 169 rooms and villas, and 90 residences

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Dana Bay Tourism Company (pictured) to open InterContinental Al Khobar Dana Bay.

The move underlines the Group’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and marks the expansion of its luxury footprint in the kingdom.

Scheduled to open its doors to guests in December 2024, InterContinental Al Khobar Dana Bay will be situated 30km from the city centre and 45km from King Fahed International Airport.

The surrounding development of Dana Bay is spread over 2.8 million square metres with a 14km beach overlooking Half Moon Bay. Visitors can enjoy activities including water sports, diving, equestrian sports and an aqua park. There's also a strip of eateries.

InterContinental Al Khobar Dana Bay will feature 133 rooms, 90 InterContinental residences and 36 villas, in addition to offering four dining options, an indoor and outdoor pool, a health club and a spa.

The hotel will also offer a business centre and four meeting rooms, catering to the needs of business travellers.
