Marriott to open three properties in Neom, Saudi Arabia

The agreement includes Saudi Arabia’s first Autograph Collection and Luxury Collection hotels

Marriott International has signed an agreement with Saudi developer Neom to open three new properties on its luxury island destination Sindalah in the Red Sea. 

Sindalah is the first of a group of islands that will be developed in Neom in the Red Sea surrounded by an ocean environment that is home to 2,000 marine species, 600 of which are endemic.

Extending over an area of 840,000 square metres, Sindalah will offer nautical and yachting experiences, located just 17 hours sail from the Mediterranean and featuring a 86-berth marina for yachts up to 75 metres, as well as serviced offshore buoys for super yachts up to 180 metres.  

The island will offer more than 400 hotel rooms and 300 suites, a beach club, a yacht club and 38 dining outlets.

According to Marriott, the multi-deal agreement includes Saudi Arabia’s first Autograph Collection Hotels property, as well as two Luxury Collection properties.

Expected to open in 2024, the Autograph Collection property in Sindalah will offer 66 rooms and suites, including one- and two-bedroom villas, multiple dining options, a kids club and a spa.

Opening in 2024, a Luxury Collection beach resort will offer a mix of 70 luxury rooms and suites, including one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom villas all featuring private pools.

The second Luxury Collection-branded project, situated in the heart of the retail and marina district of Sindalah, will open in 2024 and is expected to be an all-suite resort offering 115 one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury units.

Both Luxury Collection properties will feature multiple restaurants and leisure facilities.

Sindalah is expected to open to guests from early next year and the three Marriott hotels on the island are expected to be the first hotels to welcome guests.
