Minor Hotels appoints new regional VP of operations

David Todd will oversee the operations and development of Minor's Middle East hotels

Minor Hotels has announced the appointment of David Todd as vice president of operations, Middle East.

In his new role, Todd will be responsible for overseeing Minor Hotels’ portfolio of hotels in the Middle East, including the Anantara, Avani, NH Collection, Oaks and Tivoli brands. He will also be responsible for developing and implementing the group’s growth strategy in the region.

Todd brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to his new role and joins Minor Hotels from InterContinental Hotels Group, where he held a number of  senior positions, including most recently head of operations for the Middle East and Africa.

The Scottish native has worked in countries across the region including Egypt, Oman and Qatar in roles that have equipped him with the skills required to execute Minor Hotels’ future growth plans across the Middle East.

Speaking about the appointment, Minor Hotels senior vice president operations Middle East and Africa Amir Golbarg said: “We are delighted to welcome David to Minor Hotels. His proven track record in hospitality, deep understanding of the region’s business landscape, and his strategic vision will be invaluable as we continue to grow our presence in the Middle East.”
