Four Seasons debuts its first adult-only tented resort in the Americas

Naviva, a Four Seasons Resort is now open in Mexico. Set adjacent to Four Season's already established Punta Mita property, the new hotel, owned by Bill Gates’ Cascafe Investment company, offers an even more personalised experience with 15 luxurious accommodations set amid a 48-acre forest.

Catering only to adults, Naviva is perched on the edge of a private peninsula, with a dramatic entrance featuring a cocoon-inspired bamboo bridge overlooking a ravine.

The whole retreat, conceptualised by Luxury Frontiers – who were also behind Amangiri’s Camp Sarika and specialise in high-end African safari lodges – has been created using biophilic design and biomimicry, which uses the natural world for inspiration and design solutions.

Each tent has spacious indoor and outdoor space, allowing guests to feel immersed in the surroundings. Features include an open-air living room, a hammock, a firepit, a separate bedroom that leads to a private plunge pool, and an oversized bathroom with soaking tubs and skylit showers.

A guide ensures all needs are met and will not only arrange activities and reservations but personally take clients on surfing, hiking or fishing excursions.

Wellness facilities include two spa pods with timber soaking tubs, outdoor showers and private gardens; a House of Heat temazcal sweat lodge complete with ceremonial fire pit; an open-air gym, and nature trails. Yoga is offered on Risco Terrace.

Guests can also enjoy the three-tiered Selva Pool surrounded by foliage and have access to the 175-metre La Solana Beach reserved for the resort’s guests.

All meals, snacks and drinks are included in the nightly rate, with dining options including the seafood-focused Copal Cocina, light local bites at Selva Pool or private in-room dining. Dinners in the forest and cooking classes can also be arranged.

This is the second Four Seasons all-inclusive tented camp, the first being the Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle in Thailand’s Chiang Rai.

Naviva is a 45-minute drive from Puerto Vallarta International Airport, with stays starting from US$3,950 per night including all meals and drinks, one 60-minute spa treatment per guest, daily practices and rituals and Unscripted Naviva experiences. There is a minimum two-night stay. Custom drinks, additional treatments, private classes and Signature Naviva experiences plus transfers are available at an additional cost. Guests can also utilise the facilities of sister-resort Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita.
