The new Super Saver fare is aimed at passengers travelling only with hand luggage

Oman’s national carrier Oman Air has introduced Super Saver, a new category of economy-class fare designed to cater to passengers who are travelling only with hand luggage.

The low-cost option allows passengers who are not checking in baggage to benefit from savings of up to 20% on ticket prices.

Available to book on the airline’s website and mobile app, Oman Air’s Super Saver fares include an allowance of 7kg of carry-on baggage and are targeted at budget-conscious travellers or those who are taking short trips and don’t require much baggage.

Passengers can also purchase a variety of add-ons including extra baggage, preferred seat selection and airport lounge access.

“Each fare type offers customers specific benefits, as well as options to purchase additional services and amenities that vary based on the type of fare selected. The airline now offers four branded fare types, each with varying degrees of product features and costs. A level up from the Super Saver fare is Economy Lite, which offers carry-on baggage of up to 7kg and check-in baggage up to 30kg. Meanwhile, Economy Smart and Economy Prime offer all the above, along with greater discounts on add-ons, frequent flyer programme miles, free seat selection and more customised travel itineraries.
