Oman’s Shangri-la Al Husn, Muscat reopens

Muscat’s adults-only luxury resort is welcoming guests once again with a new spa

Shangri-La Al Husn, Muscat has reopened its doors following a temporary closure, which was the result of global restrictions.

Set on a clifftop and located 45 minutes from Muscat International Airport, Shangri-La Al Husn caters to guests aged over 16 and offers locally inspired experiences and bespoke tours.

Comprising 180 rooms and suites, the resort, designed to reference the historic architecture of Omani forts with courtyards, features ornate arches, water features and palm trees.

Guests visiting the reopened property will be able to experience the latest addition to its wellness offering, the Luban Spa

Luban, also known as Frankincense, is renowned for its healing and beautifying properties and the spa offers a myriad Omani frankincense treatment rituals for the body and mind.

The resort also caters to those wanting to experience local flavours. Ingredients, sourced from around the Sultanate, play an essential role during the guest journey and range from locally harvested pomegranates, roses, date syrup and Omani honey.

Every afternoon guests are treated to a complimentary afternoon tea on the terrace of Sultanah, overlooking the sea. At sunset, the central courtyard comes to life with the aperitif hour, offering a collection of signature cocktails with local infusions.

A popular destination for romantic getaways, the resort has launched a Couple Paradise package, inclusive of a two-night stay, breakfast for two, ‘dine by design’ at a location of choice, couples’ massage at Luban Spa, afternoon tea and an aperitif hour.

The Couple Paradise package starts from US$512 per night per couple. For reservations and more information, visit
