The features include special fares for students and senior citizens

In an effort to make travel more accessible to its customers, online travel agency Cleartrip has announced the launch of new customer-centric features on its platform.

From offering discounted fares for certain categories, to instilling customer confidence through 'medi-cancel' refund and international travel insurance, the features are designed to address pain points in the travel booking process.

The new features include:

Special fares: Discounted airfares will be offered to students and senior citizens
Pay later: Users will now be able to book tickets through credit offered by pay-later vendors on the Cleartrip platform
Cleartrip medi-cancel refund: In case of an unexpected medical emergency, illness or injury, medi-cancel refund will offer airline credit to customers against airline cancellation charges.
International travel insurance: By opting for Cleartrip’s international travel insurance, customers benefit from financial assistance in case of medical expenses, loss of checked-in baggage, trip delays, cancellations or missed flight connections.
