UAE hotel to shut from May 2026
One of Dubai’s longest-operating hotels, Park Hyatt Dubai will temporarily close from May 2026 as it enters the final phase of a long-term renovation programme.
Set along the banks of the Dubai Creek in the UAE, a hotel spokesperson said the planned closure reflects a wider investment to enhance the property, with further details on reopening expected later this year.
In a statement, Ersev Demiroz, General Manager of Park Hyatt Dubai, said: “This next and final phase of our renovation has been carefully planned over time, allowing us to enhance and elevate the experience while staying true to what makes the property so special.”
Opened in 2005, Park Hyatt Dubai is located within Dubai Creek Resort and features 223 rooms and suites, alongside a marina, golf course access and multiple dining venues including Noépe, Brasserie du Park and The Thai Kitchen.

Further details of the renovation will be revealed at an event to be held at The Lagoon Beach Club at Park Hyatt Dubai on 22 April. Entitled ‘Perfecting Elegance’, and billed as an “exclusive sunset beach soirée”, the event will be attended by key members of the media and organisers have promised “a refined preview of what’s to come” as they “unveil a transformative new chapter for the property”.
The property has introduced a ‘Stay & Return’ offer ahead of the closure. Guests staying a minimum of two nights between 15 and 30 April will receive half-board and spa access, along with a selection of benefits for a future stay, including a tier upgrade, a 60-minute spa treatment, private dining or a stay in the renovated Royal Suite.
The move comes in the same month that Dubai landmark Jumeirah Burj Al Arab closes for an 18-month refurbishment programme, while Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort ceased operations on 10 April 2026.
