Saudi Arabia relaxes visa rules for GCC residents

The kingdom’s tourism visa scheme now applies to all GCC residents

The Saudi Tourism Ministry announced that any resident of the GCC is eligible to apply for a tourist visa regardless of their profession.

The move to allow visitors of all professions to enter the country comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to broaden the opportunity for all GCC residents to visit various the tourist destinations and events in the kingdom.

According to the ministry, all residents of GCC countries are eligible to enter the kingdom with an electronic tourist visa available through the VisitSaudi platform, provided their residence permit is valid for a period of no less than three months. 

This applies to relatives accompanying the residence visa holder as well as domestic workers entering the country with their employers.
