Emerald announces German River Cruise itineraries for 2023

Geared towards families, the journeys will explore the Rhine and the Danube

Emerald Cruises has announced two new family river cruises on the Rhine and Danube for summer 2023 due to rising demand for sailings that can accommodate multi-generational families.

Emerald Cruises' new family cruises depart this July. The voyages are designed to keep guests aged 10 to 18 entertained, and families travelling together can take advantage of a special offer where passengers who book adjacent cabins can save 50% on the second cabin.

The cruises include:

Family Rhine River Cruise
The Emerald Luna will depart from Basel, Switzerland with calls in Germany, France and the Netherlands. Family-friendly excursions include a canoe trip on the Rhine, geocaching in Heidelberg and an optional visit to Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.

Family Danube River Cruise
The Emerald Dawn will depart from Budapest, Hungary and sail across the Danube through Slovakia, Austria and Germany. Cruise prices include all onboard meals, wine and beer with lunch and dinner for the adults and soft drinks for the kids. It also includes airport transfers to and from the ship, gratuities, port charges and daily excursions.
