Fred Holidays launches Brahmaputra cruise-and-stay packages

Packages include luxury stays in India’s Golden Triangle and visits to national parks

Fred Holidays has introduced three new cruise-and-stay packages combining the Brahmaputra river with luxury stays in India’s Golden Triangle and visits to India's national parks.

All three packages include a seven-night Brahmaputra cruise in Assam, India, onboard the 46-guest MV Mahabaahu (pictured).

The cruise is from Jorhat to Guwahati and includes an Assam tea-tasting and moonlit barbeque; a visit to Mishing village and wildlife spotting; a day in Kaziranga National Park to spot one-horned rhino, Asiatic wild elephants, water buffalo, Bengal tigers and leopards; and Peacock Island, the smallest inhabited river islet in the world.

A 15-night Luxury Golden Triangle & Brahmaputra River Cruise holiday featuring Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and the Taj Mahal, the cruise costs from US$4,898 per person.

A special departure of the holiday coincides with the colourful Holi festival, which celebrates good triumphing over evil. One of the highlights of this trip will be a visit to a local home to celebrate the Holi festival. It departs on 5 March 2023, with prices from US$5,012. 

A 17-night Golden Triangle, Ranthambore Safari & Brahmaputra River Cruise holiday also features Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and the Taj Mahal, as well as two nights in Ranthambore, including two safaris in search of tigers. It's priced from US$5,467. 

The holidays include travel around India, airport transfers and international flights.
