Dedicated counters are in place for travellers aged from four to 12

Dubai's General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has announced that young travellers now have their own passport control lanes and counters at Dubai International Airport (DXB).

Featuring a bright, space-themed design, the new counters are located in the arrivals hall of Terminal 3 at DXB and  the children who pass through the counters will have the opportunity to stamp their own passports.

"On special occasions, the young travellers are received by 'Salem and Salama', two mascots wearing the uniform of Dubai GDRFA employees," the authority said.

Mascots Salem and Salama have been introduced as part of the initiative and are designed to build friendships and enhance the travel experience for young travellers as they arrive in the city.
