Coya Riyadh announces February 2022 opening

The high-end Peruvian restaurant will be located in the Sulaimaniya district

Peruvian restaurant Coya is the latest in a slew of fine-dining restaurants joining the F&B offerings in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

From February next year, diners will be able to enjoy the restaurant’s signature dishes while overlooking Riyadh’s Sulaimaniya district.

The restaurant will be led by general manager Marco Di Pietro, who was previously responsible for the Coya Jeddah and Coya Riyadh pop-ups.

Commenting on the launch, Di Petro said: “We are extremely excited to bring the taste of Coya to Saudi Arabia through our new permanent location. Coya Riyadh will be a glitzy addition to Saudi Arabia’s fine-dining scene. I look forward to welcoming guests in February 2022.”

Coya Middle East operations manager Stefano Pizzini added: “Following highly acclaimed pop-ups in Riyadh and Jeddah, we felt a need in Saudi Arabia’s dining scene for an authentic experience that focuses on Peruvian cuisine. Coya Riyadh was a result of the overwhelming response we received from our customers to open a venue in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

The space will feature a ceviche counter, an outdoor garden terrace and entertainment courtesy of a resident DJ.

Coya opened its first restaurant in London’s Mayfair in 2012, and now has venues in cities across the globe, including Paris, Monte Carlo, Mykonos, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha.
