Dubai-based Balkan eatery 21grams returns in new location

The new space features a private dining room with views of the Burj al Arab

Located in the heart of Umm Suqeim, 21grams, the Balkan bistro famed for its homegrown soul food, is now open in a new location with a refreshed menu.

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, in a light-filled space in Meyan Mall, the new menu features modern Balkan dishes using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.

With increased capacity, the 80 seater concept will now offer a dinner menu, afternoon tea and a rota of chef’s table events with guest chefs.

The restaurant’s signature dishes including komplet egg remain

21grams’ signature dishes such as komplet egg, flaky spinach phyllo pie and cevapi Wagyu beef kebabs will remain staple features, while new additions include busara prawns – grilled prawns in seafood bisque with feta cheese and barley risotto with cepes mushrooms, beef jus, kashkaval cheese, truffle and foie gras snow.

In keeping with the relaxed mantra of 21grams, tables are on a first come, first served basis. However, larger groups of 6 or more are able to make a reservation and the private dining room can be booked on request.
