The new route will mark the carrier’s third Oman-based destination after Muscat and Salalah
Dubai-based airline Flydubai will start flights to the Omani city of Sohar from 4 November 2021.
The new route will have a flight time of 55 minutes and operate twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays to Sohar International Airport (OHS) from Terminal 2 at Dubai International (DXB). The outbound flight will depart Dubai at 2.05pm, arriving in Sohar at 3pm and the return flight will depart Sohar at 4pm and arrive in Dubai at 4.55pm.

Passengers booking a Flydubai flight to Dubai during the event will be offered a complimentary one-day ticket to visit Expo 2020 Dubai and those who book a flight through the airline’s website will receive complimentary global cover for Covid-19 related costs.
Flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith commented on the announcement saying: “With demand for travel returning and as more countries continue to lift restrictions on international travel, we are pleased to announce the start of flights to Sohar in Oman. We are excited to further grow our network and give passengers more options to travel in the region while welcoming passengers from Oman, especially those looking to visit Expo 2020 in Dubai.”
