The hotel will be nestled in one of Saudi's ski resorts
GHM has inked an agreement to open The Chedi Trojena within the Neom ‘giga project’ along the northwest corner of Saudi Arabia.
Tojena, Saudi’s first outdoor ski resort, will feature 30km of ski slopes and will comprise six clusters of luxury hotels: Gateway, Discover, Valley, Explore, Relax and Fun. The Chedi Trojena will be located within the Slope Residences in Trojena’s Relax Cluster, which focuses on rejuvenation and wellness.
Commenting on the news, Trojena executive director and region head Philip Gullett said: “Trojena redefines the understanding of ultra-luxury hospitality and mountain tourism. With GHM’s international acclaim in operating iconic resorts globally, we share the same resolve to elevate the travel experience for discerning guests.
"The Chedi Trojena will serve as a luxurious sanctuary in the [region’s] first outdoor ski resort, where world-class sporting events, art exhibitions, concerts and cultural festivals will be staged.”
GHM is the second hotel partner announced for Trojena, which has also been announced as the host venue of the 2029 Asian Winter Games.
In October 2022, Neom Hotel Development signed a deal with Ennismore, which will see two of its brands, 25 Hours Hotels and Morgans Originals open properties in Trojena.
Trojena is slated to welcome its first guests in 2026 and Neom aims to attract more than five million visitors annually by 2030.
