Jumeirah Maldives to open 1 October 2021

Not just for romantic getaways, the resort will cater to a diverse demographic of guests

Jumeirah Group has announced a new international resort, Jumeirah Maldives, which will welcome its first guests from 1 October 2021.

Adding to Jumeirah Group’s growing portfolio of hotels, Jumeirah Maldives is an all-villa luxury resort set in the North Malé Atoll. Accessible via speedboat or seaplane from Malé Airport, the resort caters to families, active travellers and those looking for romantic getaways.

Jumeirah Group chief executive officer José Silva said: “The Maldives is a much-loved getaway for travellers from around the world and Jumeirah Maldives is a destination that delivers on our brand promise of ‘Stay Different’.

“The resort offers unparalleled hospitality with a genuine flair that exceeds guest expectations while pushing the limits of design, service and culinary expertise. A truly breath-taking addition to the brand’s portfolio, Jumeirah Group’s new home in the Maldives guarantees an immaculate guest experience right from the very moment they set foot in our new contemporary resort.”

Jumeirah Maldives will offer 67 beach and over-water villas in one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations, all featuring panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and a private infinity pool.

In dining, there will be Mediterranean and Nikkei flavours, provided by two of Jumeirah Group’s award-winning signature restaurants, Shimmers and Kayto. Guests can unwind at the Talise Spa, with its six overwater treatment rooms and daily yoga classes. Those who prefer more active pastimes will be catered to with water sports, beach volleyball, billiards and tennis.

The guest experience is how the resort aims to stand out. With this in mind, a team of dedicated butlers will work around the clock curating hospitality services from reservations to dining and spa bookings.

Jumeirah group previously operated Jumeirah Vittaveli Maldives, now Ozen Reserve Bolifushi, owned by Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts, and Jumeirah Dhevanafushi, now rebranded under Accor as the Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort in late 2018 following a refurbishment.
