Ultra-luxury property with 40 accommodations to open in 2029
Kerzner International is set to bring its ultra-luxury brand to Fiji, with plans for the island’s first One&Only resort, set to open in 2029.
The project will combine a boutique-style resort with a community of private homes, the latter scheduled to go on sale this November.
Developed in partnership with BSP Life, a leading Fiji-based institutional investor, the opening marks a significant addition to Kerzner’s expanding portfolio, with CEO Philippe Zuber noting that Fiji has “long been a coveted addition to our global collection.”
Located in the Yasawa Islands archipelago off Western Fiji, the 127-acre One&Only resort will be situated on the shores of Nacula Island.
Just a 30-minute seaplane ride from the international airport, the resort will offer guests a “remarkable location” that combines natural beauty, vibrant local culture and the luxury and privacy for which One&Only is known.
Planned facilities include 40 guest accommodations ranging from rooms to villas and suites, alongside six distinctive culinary concepts, the brand’s signature Club One wellness centre and a curated offering of 20 One&Only Private Homes.
Design will play a central role: the architecture is set to blend traditional Fijian craftsmanship with contemporary elegance, embracing timeless aesthetics, expansive sea views and the region’s open-air lifestyle.

Kerzner confirmed that the entire experience will be “infused with the soul of the islands,” allowing guests not only to admire their setting but to immerse themselves in it.
“Unlocking this destination aligns perfectly with our strategic growth in the Asia-Pacific region and reinforces our distinctive approach, continually elevating our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences, all while showcasing the warmth and hospitality of the Fijian spirit on a global stage,” Zuber said.
This milestone underscores both Kerzner’s ambition in Asia-Pacific and Fiji’s growing stature as a high-profile luxury destination. Tourism Fiji reported that 2024 saw 929,740 international visitor arrivals, a new record for the nation, driven by strong demand from Australia, New Zealand and North America.
While GCC markets remain a small but steadily expanding segment, figures show more than 6,000 visitors from the Gulf region in 2024, reflecting rising long-haul interest in Fiji.
