New desert eco-tourism resort opens in Abu Dhabi

Bab Al Nojoum – Bateen Liwa Resort offers campers one-, two- and three-bed desert villas

Modon Properties, a UAE-based developer of sustainable communities, has announced the opening of Bab Al Nojoum-Bateen Liwa Resort, in Abu Dhabi. 

Featuring a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom villas, the resort is located in Al Dhafra region, set against the desert landscapes.

The 50-square-metre one-bedroom villa can accommodate three campers, the 86-square-metre two-bedroom villa can host fivem and the 102-square-metre three-bedroom villa is designed for a group of up to seven people. 

Every room features a private plunge pool, deck loungers, patio, and a fire pit that offers views of the sand dunes.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, who inaugurated the resort, said: "The opening of Bab Al Nojoum – Bateen Liwa Resort comes at a time when Al Dhafra region is witnessing significant momentum in the construction of exceptional touristic and residential destinations, in line with the growth strategies and expansion plans of the government." 

UAE Department of Finance chairman Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi added: "Our world-class projects and attractions will continue to help build the emirate's tourism infrastructure while adhering to strict environmental standards through our zero-waste, carbon- and plastic-free policy."
