The platform will offer 20% off flights and 40% off hotels
Online travel agent (OTA) MakeMyTrip has launched multiple industry-leading features to help reshape the travel booking experience in the UAE.
Since its launch in the UAE in 2020, MakeMyTrip has become a prominent player amongst OTAs in the flight booking domain. Now, the travel platform is targeting a leading position in the hotel booking space too.
In line with that strategy, the travel platform has tied up with thousands of hotels across the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Europe to offer special prices to UAE travellers.
MakeMyTrip has also tied up with Emirates NBD, ADCB, Emirates Islamic, Citi and American Express to launch limited period consumer-led offers on flights and hotel bookings starting from 20 March 2023.

The company will offer up to 20% off on flight bookings up to a limit of AED200, while the hotel promotion will offer up to 40% off with a limit of AED600.
Data collected by the company from consumers in the UAE found that there was a need for flexibility at the time of booking and concern about high cancellation charges, so the travel platform has added new features, including:
- Book @AED1, allowing travellers to make advance hotel bookings by paying just AED1 at the time of booking
- Zero-cancellation on flight bookings, providing an assurance of coverage in case of cancellation due to any uncertainties
- The Price Lock feature, allowing users to pay a nominal amount to ‘lock’ the price and return to an assured ticket price later
