Qatar Airways gears up for World Cup with increased capacity and incentives

The airline is offering 5,000 bonus Avios points for flights booked between 15 November and 18 December

With the final draw completed and the tournament’s  32 teams confirmed, Qatar Airways is getting ready to host fans coming to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

With the tournament set to kick-off on 21 November with more than 1.5 million fans expected to attend in total, the airline has launched all-inclusive packages for those travelling to Qatar to cheer on their teams in person. 

Fans can choose from seven-tiered travel packages, which include return flights, match tickets and accommodation options and customers can reserve their seats for their preferred matches.

In addition, from now until 30 April, members of the Qatar Airways Privilege Club who book a flight or a travel package from 15 November to 18 December 2022 will earn 5,000 bonus Avios points.

Packages start from US$3,400 per person and are currently on sale in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Iran, Japan, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, South Africa, Sudan, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and Vietnam. 

With a surge in passenger demand expected during the FIFA World Cup period, Qatar Airways will implement various strategies to maximise capacity to countries that have qualified for the tournament and optimise its network to ensure that fans from around the world experience increased connectivity.
