Three-Michelin-starred Indian restaurant ranks highest in Middle East at 27
Trèsind Studio on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai has once again been named in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025, with Dubai-based Orfali Bros also making the list.
The only restaurants in the Middle East to be listed in the top 50, the two Dubai-based eateries were honoured at an awards ceremony held in Turin, Italy on 19 June 2024, where Lima restaurant Maido took top spot.
From humble beginnings in a backroom of sister restaurant Trèsind, chef Himanshu Saini has steered Trèsind Studio in Dubai to multi-award-winning status in less than a decade.
Chef Himanshu Saini’s dining experience was recently awarded three Michelin stars, the only Indian restaurant globally to achieve that status, and while it has slipped in the 50 Best rankings from 13th place to 27th, it remains the highest ranked restaurant from the Middle East.

“Being named number 27 in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants is a celebration of the team, our culture and the flavours that inspire everything we do,” said Chef Saini. “This honour reinforces our belief that modern Indian cuisine belongs on the world stage while staying true to our heritage.”
Trèsind Studio offers a multi-sensory, 17-course degustation menu, Rising India, that reimagines Indian cuisine. The 20-cover restaurant provides a theatrical dining experience, combining flavour with storytelling that showcases the country’s rich and diverse cultural, agricultural and religious heritage.

Dubai’s Orfali Bros also re-entered the list, rising from 64th place in 2024 to reach 37 on the 2025 rankings, having been named best restaurant in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for the third consecutive year by the separate Middle East & North Africa's 50 Best Restaurants awards. In 2023, Orfali Bros was ranked 46 in the world.
Judges praised the brothers from Aleppo, Syria, for creating “a genuinely unique dining experience in multicultural Dubai” for their “unpretentious bistro”.
