New destinations include Corfu in Greece and Cagliari in Sicily
Flydubai saw a 50% passenger increase in Q1 compared to the same period in 2022. Following a busy start to the year for the airline, Flydubai has announced plans to ramp up operations for summer from 1 July to 30 September, increasing its capacity by 20% across its network.
The new routes are as follows:
Flydubai has built a network of 120 destinations in 52 countries. More than 75 of these routes did not previously have direct air links to Dubai or were not served by a UAE national carrier from Dubai.
Flydubai chief executive officer Ghaith Al Ghaith said: “We continue to grow our network, launching operations to new underserved routes and adding capacity on existing routes. We have seen a very strong performance since the start of the year, which is a clear reflection of Dubai's position as a global hub for trade and travel and resilience in the face of economic challenges."
