September has plenty to offer GCC and Saudi nationals
Art exhibitions, musical performances, sporting tournaments and multicultural offerings are all on the Qatar tourism events calendar for the month of September as the country looks to attract more visitors to the region.
One of the country’s newest tourist offerings is Meryal Waterpark, the country’s largest attraction of its kind, which is home to the world’s tallest water slide and a waterside retail area.
Further to this, ‘Our Habitas Ras Abrouq’ resort is now welcoming guests on the edge of the UNESCO-protected Al Reem Biosphere.
Notable events on the Qatar tourism September schedule include:
‘Honour The Past, To Celebrate the Future: Qatar’s Educational Vision Exhibition’ at the Liwan Design Studios and Labs displays the journey of female education in Qatar from 1938 to 2006.
S’hail – Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition returns for its eighth edition from 10 September at Katara Cultural Village.
Geekdom at Lusail Boulevard is hosting ‘Geekend’ with stage programmes, science-fiction shows, Geekend Market, Geekend Lounge, Board Game Area, Escape Game and eSports tournaments from 12 September.
ConteQ Expo 2024 will be held at the Qatar National Convention Centre from 16 to 18 September, showcasing the latest research and innovative breakthroughs in construction and services.
Doha International Coffee Exhibition 2024 is set to take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre from 26 September.
The Family Shopping Fair will be taking place from 22 September at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.

THEATRE:
‘70 Years of Theatre Gala – The Doha Players’ is set to take place at the Giwana Ballroom at Radisson Blu Hotel on 19 September.
The ‘Hamra Street’ comedy musical at U Venue from 26 September.
The theatrical play ‘Hind in the Land of Sindh’ will be running at the Drama Theatre at Katara Cultural Village from 26 September.
CONCERTS:
‘Philharmonic At the Library Arabic Nights from North Africa’ at Qatar National Library on 12 September as part of the Qatar-Morocco Year of Culture 2024.
An Evening with R. Strauss: Death, Drama, & Discovery at Qatar National Convention Centre on 13 September.
Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique by Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra will be held on 17 September at Qatar National Convention Centre.
The ‘Russian Greats: Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky’ concert at the Opera House at Katara Cultural Village on 22 September.
The ‘Heroes and Villains’ concert will take place at Auditorium 3 at Qatar National Convention Centre on 29 September.
SPORTS EVENTS:
The Sealine Challenge 2024 at Sealine Beach, organised by Qatar Sports for All Federation, on 28 September.
QTerminals Qatar Squash Classic will be hosted from 28 September 28 Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
The 3rd Qatar Asian Junior Tournament for 14 years and under will be held from 30 September at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
