Aida Cruises to broadcast World Cup matches across its fleet

Select sailings will also feature extensive football-focused entertainment programmes

Carnival Corporation’s Aida Cruises has announced that the games for next month’s FIFA World Cup Qatar will be broadcast on all 12 ships of its fleet.

Guests will be able to watch the live games on LED screens at the Theatrium, pool deck and Four Elements area. 

In addition, a team comprising freestyle athletes and football experts will add to the World Cup entertainment onboard on select sailings.

The Aidaprima's metropolitan voyage will feature an impressive football programme with ball acrobatics, as well as workshops where football fans can learn ball tricks. 

The seven-day voyage departs from Hamburg on 19 November 2022, a day before the tournament starts.

The freestylers will also be onboard the Aidabella during World Cup match days, offering an entertaining programme in their trick camps on both the 'Great Winter Break Canaries' and 'Great Winter Break Caribbean' sailings.

Sports scientist Pedro Gonzalez will be a guest onboard the Aidadiva as a World Cup host during the 'Antilles & Mexico Caribbean' voyage. 

Gonzalez has coached world champions such as André Schürrle, Toni Kroos and Thomas Müller. During the World Cup, he will report from the field and host the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final on 18 December 2022.

The onboard programme will also feature public viewing events and football quizzes.
