Tobias Ernst will spearhead the property’s operational initiatives while driving efficiency

Saudi Arabia's Shangri-La Jeddah has appointed Tobias Ernst as its new director of operations. 

In his new role, Ernst will spearhead Shangri-La Jeddah's operational initiatives while implementing strategic plans to drive efficiency, enhance guest experiences and further elevate the hotel's reputation in the luxury hospitality sector.

With extensive experience in international cross-functional hotel management, Tobias previously worked at various Shangri-La hotels in China, including Island Shangri-La Hong Kong, Shangri-La Dalian, Shangri-La Changchun, Shangri-La Haikou in Hainan and the flagship Shangri-La Singapore.

With more than two decades of leadership in the luxury hospitality sector, Ernst’s wealth of experience will play a crucial role in maintaining and elevating the hotel’s reputation for exceptional services and practices.

With his proven track record in repositioning restaurants, managing food and beverage operations, implementing digitisation projects and managing large-scale operations, he will be expected to drive new concepts and implement creative solutions in the Jeddah hospitality landscape.
